Worship Leader Celebrates Two Albums On Billboard’s Top Gospel Chart and Headlines Winterfest 2011 Tour

The ministry of worship leader Eddie James has been soaring.  The singer, songwriter and founder of the Phoenix Mass Choir has seen success with choir projects and solo praise and worship CDs.  Recently, the Billboard-charting artist has been tapped as the headliner of Winterfest 2011.  For teens ages 13 and over, Winterfest is a youth group retreat organized by the Church of God.  Hundreds of youth groups converge for a time of worship, praise and teaching with the top speakers, musical artists and Christian comedians.  James, a dynamic leader of worship, will be ministering to the youth and helping them to seek a closer relationship with God.  The tour, which hits spots in the East and Midwest, has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years, with tens of thousands expected during the 2011 tour.  Stops include Knoxville, TN (March 11-13, 2011) and Orlando, FL (March 25-27, 2011).  For more information about Winterfest, log on to www.mywinterfest2011.com.

While James has been hitting the road, he’s also been hitting the Billboard charts.  James’ new project, God, an eclectic mix of powerful, rhythmic CCM-tinged tunes, is currently at #22 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums Chart.  The CD’s success has been spurred by the break-out single, “I Need You”, which is hitting inspirational stations across the country.  Also, Victory, the latest release from James’ choir, Phoenix Mass, nets a powerful collection of church songs, and has hit #15 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums Chart.  Radio listeners are also taking to “‘Freedom”, a new song from his upcoming CD, Freedom, due to drop in spring 2011.

Eddie James’ ministry is currently headquartered in Hamilton, AL, and operates DreamLife in Pensacola, FL.  He’s been seeing young people come to the Lord in record numbers. “I see the youth crying out for a real experience with the Living God,” says James. “We are finding God raising up a generation that is truly hungry for the presence of God. He is visiting this generation in a very profound way, and impacting young and seasoned saints in a life changing way. We are seeing young people being set free and crying out to God for our nation, their schools, communities and families. It is exciting to be part of such a move.”
